Would it be wise for your opponent to bid 5 endurance on him? Would it be wiser still for you to bid 6, or could you prevent that loss?Ī common mechanic you might see as well is the loyalist bounty hunters. Bossk presents a fascinating dilemma for his recruiter: 5, 4 for a 2-drop is just gravy, and the drawback takes him down to being a slightly better-than-average 2-drop, so the temptation is to not really bother too much keeping him on your side- unfortunately, your opponent may take advantage of your apathy. Bidding with your endurance to keep them on your side is both treacherously dangerous and deliciously flavorful. Bounty hunters have over-inflated stats or awesome benefits but the drawback is, you have to pay resources to recruit them and you might not get to keep them long, or their benefit is short-lived and you don’t really want to keep them long. Each player then simultaneously reveals the amount he wrote down. Each player writes down an amount of endurance not exceeding his current total endurance. The exact text of the keyword reads: “After the combat phase, remove this character from the game. What I will do is show you a few of his colleagues from the institution formerly known as the Bounty Hunters’ Guild, starting with his chief rival, the brutish Doshan lizard Bossk:īounty Hunter’s a tricky keyword to wrap your head around at first, since it’s like adding a whole new phase to the game, but learning how to manipulate it to your advantage will be more than worth a Hutt’s bounty. You’ll have to come to the tournament and hope you pull the rarest and most awesomest four-drop ever printed. To start this preview off, I’ll answer what I know will be your first two questions: They’re also some of the coolest characters in the galaxy. Volatile, unpredictable, expensive and downright nasty, the bounty hunters of the Star Wars universe are the ultimate wild cards- bring them into the equation and you could just as easily wind up paying a zillion credits to someone with whom your enemy has already secured a contract for your death. I know, it’s corny, but it’s pretty apt here.
